While We Were Away is a new podcast featuring voices of formerly incarcerated people sharing their experiences transitioning out of incarceration. Each episode will feature a different participant, offering advice and knowledge for those recently released as well as those who remain incarcerated. The podcast is part of the University of Michigan's Prison Creative Arts Project. In addition to new episodes, you can also find numerous links to services and reentry-friendly employers, and even other reentry related podcasts.
