The Wayne County Department of Health, Human, and Veterans Services (HHVS) is partnering with the Michigan Public Health Institute (MPHI) to conduct a community overdose and substance use needs assessment.

As part of this assessment, HHVS is seeking input through the Community Overdose and Substance Use Impact Survey.

The survey is anonymous and has been developed to help HHVS learn more about community strengths, local substance use and overdose prevention needs, and critical service gaps in Wayne County.

Anyone who lives and/or works in Wayne County is strongly encouraged to participateespecially:

  • Individuals and families with lived/living experience with substance use, substance use disorders (SUD), overdose, and/or mental health conditions.
  • Individuals who provide services to, or come in contact with, individuals who use substances, have substance use disorders (SUD), and/or mental health conditions.

Information collected from the survey will help inform local response efforts to reduce overdoses and improve substance use outcomes in Wayne County.
