Biography

Darian R. Fountain, originally from Detroit, brings a rich background in criminal justice and community engagement to the CBHJ. In 2019, Darian earned his bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice with a minor in Sociology from Howard University in Washington, D.C., where he spent four transformative years. During his time at Howard, he became a member of the national Criminal Justice Fraternity, Lambda Alpha Epsilon, Delta Chapter.

Prior to joining the CBHJ in July 2024, Darian gained valuable experience interning with the Howard University Police Department, where he developed a practical understanding of law enforcement operations. Additionally, Darian participated in an immersive Inside-Out Program led by actor Nick Cannon and Dr. Bahiyyah Muhammad, which focused on bridging gaps between law enforcement, students, and inmates.

Darian's diverse experiences and commitment to justice and community service make him a valuable asset to the CBHJ team. His work is driven by a passion for fostering understanding and collaboration between various community stakeholders, ensuring that his contributions significantly impact the center's mission.

Responsibilities

Darian currently serves as a program assistant for general operations. His responsibilities include coordination, communication, organization, and data collection efforts between CBHJ staff and community stakeholders across the state, as well as coordination and support of meetings and evaluation and research activities at the CBHJ.
