Biography

Autumn joined the Center for Behavioral Health and Justice as a Program Assistant in April 2023. Currently, Autumn is pursuing a Master of Social Work from University of Michigan, where she is a part of the Community Scholars: Community Based Initiative in Detroit program. She is also a community outreach intern for State Senator Stephanie Chang and a member of Southeast Michigan Mensa. Her previous experience includes assisting in behavior analysis and driving simulation reaction time research at Central Michigan University, serving as an intern with U.S. Probation, and working with young victims of trauma, abuse, and neglect at a residential placement in Detroit. Autumn's passion for social justice led her to pursue a career in social work to develop skills for systemic change in her community and across the nation. She is committed to criminal legal reform, harm reduction, and the eradication of existing patriarchal, white supremacist, and heteronormative power structures. Autumn's ultimate goal is to promote equality, equity, and justice for all individuals regardless of their background, race, gender, or sexual orientation.

Responsibilities

Autumn currently serves as a program assistant. Her responsibilities include coordination, communication, organization, and data collection efforts between CBHJ staff and community partners across the state, as well as coordination and support of meetings and evaluation and research activities at the CBHJ.
