Biography

Rashemia joined the Center for Behavioral Health and Justice (CBHJ) in July 2023 as a project coordinator. Prior to joining the CBHJ, they worked for Michigan Health Information Network Shared Services (MiHIN) - Michigan’s statewide health information network, securely connecting hospitals, pharmacies, health insurance providers, doctors and specialists to help deliver the best care for Michigan residents. Rashemia was an implementation analyst where her role consisted of overseeing the execution of the end-to-end implementation process and complete all steps necessary to ensure that information-sharing standards are met. Rashemia also has experience providing vocational training and transitional skills coaching to support youth with disabilities, court involved youth, and/or youth-at-risk of juvenile court involvement.

Responsibilities

Rashemia serves as a project coordinator for the Opioid Treatment Ecosystem initiative. They serve as the primary liaison within counties, navigating relationships between systems and county partners - including community mental health, county jail, probation/parole, peer supports, and first responders. They implement evaluation design including data collection, surveys, interviews, and focus groups.
