Biography

Raven joined the Center for Behavioral Health and Justice as a Program Assistant in March 2023. She graduated from Tiffin University in May 2020 with a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Forensic Psychology. Prior to joining the CBHJ, Raven worked in the clinical field as a counselor for runaway and homeless youth then moving into the role of clinical outpatient therapist for those suffering from substance use and co-occurring disorders. During her academic career, Raven completed two semester long research projects that sparked her now driven passion for policy reform and social change. Since working in her field, Raven began to develop her passion for working towards social reforms in hopes to aid in systemic changes in both the criminal and social justice systems through research and application.

Responsibilities

As a project coordinator for the Crisis Response initiative, Raven coordinates emerging crisis response projects across Michigan. She leads interviews with mobile crisis managers, compiles and presents behavioral health data from dispatch and law enforcement agencies, and promotes best practices among public crisis response systems.
